University Service

University service includes the taking responsibilities in academic administration and expanding the universities' outreach and partnership.

Within Qatar University's Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) and the Department of International Affairs, I have been contributing to various standing and ad-hoc committees, including the following:
- Chair of the center's budget and facilities committee
- Chair of the center's research enabling and outreach committee
- Chair of the student success committee
- Membership in CSD committees such as: the engagement and activities committee, research enabling committee, ad-hoc committee for strategic planning, ad-hoc committee for faculty appraisal, several ad-hoc committees for specific research activities and conferences
- Membership in several college committees such as: activities and engagement committee, outreach committee, faculty recruitment committee, co-chairing the organization committee for the college first annual conference in 2018, organization committees of cross-department conferences
- Main organizer of large-scale events such as: a national conference on water-energy-food conference with Hamad Bin Khalifa University and College of the North Atlantic in 2017 or the main organizer of the Cologne-Doha Weeks for International Cooperation in 2019.

Within my previous employer, the ITT at TH-Koeln University of Applied Sciences in Germany, I have been engaged in several services including as an elected staff representative within the institute's executive board, a member of the curriculum development team for the new master programs or membership in different ad-hoc tasks for international cooperation.
